Jim Miller

Jim Miller brings a rare blend of high-level playing experience, championship coaching, and a heart for mentoring young athletes. A former standout pitcher at Round Rock High School, Jim went on to play at Rice University under College Baseball Hall of Fame coach Wayne Graham, contributing as four-year starter on the mound and at the corner positions.

His coaching journey includes two state championships at Second Baptist School-Houston and a TAIAO Division II state championship as head coach of New Braunfels Thunder homeschool team. He also spent five years as a children’s pastor, deepening his passion for helping kids, teens, and young adults grow in character, confidence, and faith.

Through Coach Dad, Jim encourages sports dads, coaches, and parents to see youth sports as more than wins and losses. His mission is to help families use sports to build stronger relationships, shape character, and point kids toward what matters most.

Kris Ruepke

Kris Ruepke is a husband, father, coach, business owner, and former Division I pitcher at UTSA.

After growing up in Iowa, Kris took the junior college route before earning his opportunity at UTSA. His career included setbacks, but he refused to let one bad outing define him. He battled back to become a dependable conference starter, threw a complete-game shutout, helped UTSA win a conference championship, and was later chosen as a team captain.

Today, Kris is the co-owner and general manager of D-BAT New Braunfels, where he works with young athletes, coaches, and parents. He brings the perspective of a former college athlete, youth coach, and dad who understands both the pressure and opportunity of youth sports.

Kris believes developing an athlete is about more than swings, velocity, and wins. It is also about building confidence, perseverance, character, and strong family relationships.
